This is the blog of Matt, Brandy, Violet, and Camille Crawford. We are moving to Durham, England for the next three years so that Matt can do a PhD at the Durham University in Historical Theology. If you want to follow what’s happening in our lives, please have a look around!

The name for the blog comes from the River Wear (pronounced weer) which winds through county Durham and flows into the North Sea. The university along with the castle and the cathedral sit on a peninsula (known as the bailey) formed by the river. In the interest of full disclosure, I should mention that the picture at the top of the blog is not of the river. As a matter of fact, I have no idea what the picture is from. It’s just a preset WordPress theme. But it does look like it could  be from the area around Durham.
